White House aide Kelly Sadler, who joked about Senator John McCain’s failing health, got blasted by his wife Cindy on Twitter, and was torched by his daughter Meghan McCain on “The View” this morning.
Politico reporter Annie Karni tweeted that Sadler had called Meghan to apologize and did not get a warm reception.
Source tells me Sadler called Meghan McCain today. And that it didn’t go so well. https://t.co/ZdAgD001jk

On The View, Meghan McCain fired back at Haspel, saying: “I don’t understand what kind of environment you’re working in when that would be acceptable and then you could come to work the next day and still have a job.”

The brouhaha erupted during an internal White House meeting, a day after Senator McCain announced his opposition to President Trump’s nominee for CIA director, Gina Haspel.
“It doesn’t matter, he’s dying anyway,” Sadler reportedly said, according to anonymous White House leakers. McCain, 81, is currently battling brain cancer, but also has suffered from skin cancer and a host of other health issues over the years.
If confirmed, Gina Haspel — who has been working at the CIA since 1985 — will be the first female director of the Central Intelligence Agency. That is an epic milestone for women that further undercuts the liberal narrative that President Trump does not support women.
But John McCain — who has repeatedly obstructed and trashed Trump both before and after he took office — announced his opposition to Haspel, citing her past role in the CIA’s use of enhanced interrogation techniques on radical Islamic terrorists after the 9/11 attacks.
I believe Gina Haspel is a patriot who loves our country & has devoted her professional life to its service & defense. However, her role in overseeing the use of torture is disturbing & her refusal to acknowledge torture’s immorality is disqualifying. https://t.co/ocDtdqU2Sx

The White House did not deny that Sadler made the remark, but underscored that it respected McCain’s military service.
“We respect Senator McCain’s service to our nation and he and his family are in our prayers during this difficult time,” the White House said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Cindy McCain clapped back at Sadler on Twitter, writing: “May I remind you my husband has a family, 7 children and 5 grandchildren.”

Liberals and conservatives alike attacked Sadler for her tasteless joke and demanded that she be fired. But keep in mind that McCain associates initially made light of his dying health when they leaked to the New York Times that McCain — who’s planning his funeral — does not want Trump at his funeral.
Usually when people are dying, they become spiritually magnanimous because they see the Big Picture, but McCain is apparently wasting his last days trying to settle scores with old enemies.
While Sadler’s joke was reprehensible, where is the liberal outrage over the daily jokes about assassinating President Trump?
As BizPac Review has reported, comedian Kathy Griffin mimicked an ISIS terrorist by posing with a fake severed, bloodied head of President Trump. Amid heavy backlash, she apologized, but then rescinded her apology.

Similarly, Madonna has joked about “blowing up the White House.” And President Trump was repeatedly assassinated by proxy during a violent adaptation of the play “Julius Caesar,” where Caesar (portrayed by a Trump lookalike) gets viciously stabbed on-stage while the audience cheered.
But Kelly Sadler is being doxxed and trolled for remarking that John McCain is dying. Earth to everyone: We all are. That’s a fact.

Some Twitter users, who are fed up with McCain’s obstruction of President Trump’s agenda, had no sympathy for the career politician. After all, if it were up to McCain, Hillary Clinton would be president.
Plus, McCain admitted giving the unverified “Trump Dossier” to former FBI director James Comey. That jump-started the fruitless Robert Mueller investigation that taxpayers are still bankrolling. That is something many Americans will never forgive. After millions of dollars wasted, Mueller has still produced no evidence of collusion.
John McCain is NOT an American hero. Her’s the entitled brat of Navy royalty.
He betrayed the military.
He betrayed his first wife.
He skirted criminal action with Keating Five.
He’s now betrayed his VP pick.
He betrayed Trump.
And he betrays this country.

The DOJ should charge John McCain with treason for his role in using the Hillary dossier against Trump.
