Breaking News: Pompeo on his way back to US with three freed Americans previously held in North Korea

President Donald Trump took to Twitter Wednesday morning with some great news, sharing that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is on his way back to the United States with three American citizens who were being held in North Korea.

Trump also reported a date and location have been agreed on for a historic meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

“I am pleased to inform you that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the air and on his way back from North Korea with the 3 wonderful gentlemen that everyone is looking so forward to meeting,” Trump tweeted. “They seem to be in good health. Also, good meeting with Kim Jong Un. Date & Place set.”

The president also announced that he will personally greet the entourage when they land at Andrews Air Force Base — at 2:00 AM!

“Secretary Pompeo and his ‘guests’ will be landing at Andrews Air Force Base at 2:00 A.M. in the morning. I will be there to greet them. Very exciting!” he tweeted.

President Trump said the three Americans, Kim Hak-Song, Kim Sang-Duk and Kim Dong-Chul, “seem to be in good health.”

A welcome report given that Otto Warmbier, the American student imprisoned for 17 months in North Korea, died shortly after being released last year.
