It may be debatable whether it’s the naked truth or not, but a group of neighbors in the English town of Lemington took extreme measures after growing tired of seeing a young couple in the buff.
Residents in the town wrote a letter informing Karin and Jay Stone that neighbors were “sick” of the scene, according to the Chronicle Live. In the process, they dared to include a critique of the goods on display — if you know what I mean.
The letter read.
“Would you please close your blinds when getting dressed or undressing.
“We are sick of seeing big bum big boobs and little willy [sic] and we will report you both for indecent exposure.
“Your neighbors.”
Jay Stone, whose sense of humor was seen on his Facebook page when he suggested that it must have been cold while including the hashtag #littlewilly, shared a copy of the note on Instagram:
Karin Stone told the Chronicle Live the “creepy” note caught them by surprise.
“I don’t understand it, it’s not like we’ve been parading around naked — just living a normal life,” she explained. “It does feel really creepy — I feel like somebody has been peeping.”
“I’m considering putting a note over both my windows saying, ‘Stop looking!’” the 33-year-old woman said.
“Really it’s just a bit excessive — if they’d just knocked on my door and said there was an issue with privacy, that would have been fine,” Mrs. Stone added.
She said her husband got the letter while she was away and he sent her a photo of it, which she promptly posted on Facebook. The post quickly went viral, getting 15,000 comments in 24 hours, leading to an interview on an Australian breakfast show.
Stone said people are suggesting how they should respond.
“We’ve had a few more outrageous suggestions,” she said. “Some people were saying we should start doing a choreographed naked dance. We had quite a laugh about it.”
