Michelle Obama just did what no other first lady has done before, and it’s making some people nauseous.
Speaking to thousands of high school students at 2018 College Signing Day in Philadelphia, Obama crowned herself the “forever first lady” as the crowd cheered.
“I know you have everything it takes to succeed,” she told more than 8,000 high school seniors at the event held at Temple University, according to Time.
“I know that you are me, and if I can be standing here as your forever First Lady, then you can do anything you put your mind to,” she said. “So remember this moment when you’re out there.”

Telling students she had “high hopes” for them, Obama assured them they “have everything it takes to succeed,” as she spoke for the fifth consecutive year at College Signing Day, a project she started in 2014 when she actually still lived at the White House with her husband, former President Barack Obama.
Celebrity guests joining the former first lady included Robert DeNiro, Zendaya, Camila Cabello, Rebel Wilson and Bradley Cooper.

But on social media, a collective groan could be heard with some fearing this meant that her husband might think of himself as the nation’s “forever president.”
