The federal judge who rejected President Trump’s request for a restraining order has an eyebrow-raising history and personal connections.
It seems the ones looking to hurt Trump under the guise of investigating collusion should be the ones under the microscope instead.
Trump requested a temporary restraining order on materials that were seized by the FBI from his attorney, Michael Cohen’s properties last week. Judge Kimba Wood denied that request on Monday.
“Fairness and justice – as well as the appearance of fairness and justice – require that, before they are turned over to the Investigative Team, the seized materials relating to the President must be reviewed by the only person who is truly motivated to ensure that the privilege is properly invoked and applied: the privilege-holder himself, the President,” Joanna Hendon, one of Trump’s lawyers, wrote in papers filed late Sunday asking Wood to respect attorney-client privilege, ABC News reported.
A closer look at Wood, the judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, reveals that she officiated George Soros’ wedding in 2013 at a private and intimate ceremony.

Wood was also handpicked by Hillary Clinton to be considered for nomination as the first female Attorney General during the former President Bill Clinton’s administration. Her nomination was dropped once it was discovered she had hired an illegal immigrant as a nanny.
This is the woman presiding over the court case involving @realDonaldTrump’s lawyer.
Her name is Kimba Wood.
She forced lawyer Michael Cohen to disclose the names of his OTHER clients.
She is a Clinton confidante who was chosen by Hillary to be AG.

“Surprisingly, the First Lady interviewed Wood for 90 minutes, twice as much time as the president spent with his prospective chief legal officer, according to White House sources,” The Washington Post reported at the time, adding that Wood was “described by friends as highly intelligent but private person unsuited to big-time politics. Quite apart from her baby-sitter problem, she was unfamiliar with criminal law and lacked any courtroom lawyer experience before being named to the bench in 1988.”
At Monday’s court hearing, the list of Cohen’s clients requested by Wood revealed Fox News host Sean Hannity‘s name among them. The ensuing fallout, in light of Wood’s background, make the apparent breach of confidentiality even more glaring.
Trump declared on Sunday that attorney-client privilege is “now a thing of the past.”
“Attorney Client privilege is now a thing of the past,” the president tweeted. “I have many (too many!) lawyers and they are probably wondering when their offices, and even homes, are going to be raided with everything, including their phones and computers, taken. All lawyers are deflated and concerned!”
