Laura Ingraham announces she’s taking a break, David Hogg taunts her using ‘Holy Week’

Fox News host Laura Ingraham announced at the end of Friday’s show she will be taking the proverbial “pre-planned vacation” next week amid the left’s boycott of her advertisers over a tweet about media sensation David Hogg, the Stoneman Douglas High School student.

And Hogg wasted no time taunting the Fox News host, taking to Twitter to mock her announced Easter break.

“Have some healthy reflections this Holy Week,” the student tweeted.

Ingraham’s announced vacation comes almost one year to the day when former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, under fire for sexual harassment claims, announced a pre-planned vacation — O’Reilly never returned to the air.

A number of companies have pulled their advertising from Ingraham’s show after she said Hogg “whines” over being rejected by four colleges, which resulted in the 17-year-old student, working in tandem with George Soros-backed Media Matters, calling for the boycott.

A campaign the like-minded media has made the top political story in America.

Ingraham extended an apology to Hogg, who called 5 million NRA members “child murderers,” and invited him to reappear on her show, but the student rebuffed her overture.

The list of advertisers who have said they will pull their ads from Ingraham’s show include: The Atlantis, Paradise Island resort, Office Depot, Jenny Craig, Hulu, Nutrish, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Wayfair, StitchFix, Nestlé and Johnson & Johnson, according to CBS News.

Talk about shutting down free speech, the list shows many companies are eager to avoid the left’s media-backed wrath, which includes brand shaming, should they fall out of step — at the expense of conservative Americans.

A similar campaign was launched against Fox News’ Sean Hannity last year for his support of Alabama judge Roy Moore in his campaign for the U.S. senate. The effort failed to remove Hannity from the air and resulted in the counter-boycott of Keurig, which went viral online as Hannity supporters posted hilarious videos of themselves destroying their coffee makers.

With Ingraham, whose real offense may be her staunch Christian beliefs, spending the next week celebrating Easter with her family, as she stated, her supporters are firing back via the hashtag #IStandWithLaura.
