Rosie O’Donnell’s sick Trump-hate art raises red flags: Laura Ingraham thinks ‘he needs to get a restraining order’

Donald Trump’s presidency has finally sent some in Hollywood to seek different forms of therapy to help them cope.

Following actor Jim Carrey’s therapeutic turn to art, Rosie O’Donnell has apparently now begun to paint. Her brushstrokes, like Carrey’s, seem intent on portraying one subject: President Trump.

Fox News contributor Raymond Arroyo described O’Donnell’s turn to art, which she began creating on her iPad, as  “sadness, rage and disappointment flamed out of my finger,” he told Laura Ingraham on “The Angle” Friday.

“Looks like a self-portrait, if you ask me,” the Fox News host reacted, as Arroyo explained that painting is a suggested form of therapy for those with an anxiety disorder as it reportedly helps work out aggressions.

“That’s what I think Rosie and Jim Carrey are doing,” he said, noting the titles of O’Donnell’s Trump art: “The Moron,” “Lunatic Trump,” “It”s Over,” and “Too Bad Trump.”

Showing clips of Trump calling the comedian a “slob” and “a loser,” Arroyo wondered what the president would call his art if he took up painting portraits of O’Donnell.

“They have something of an obsession,” Ingraham said. “I think he needs to get a restraining order.”

“She said she doesn’t want to be part of the president’s world but he’s eating her alive,” Arroyo said. “It’s a compulsion. Something is definitely wrong.”

Carrey has described art as a service and said artists make “models of their inner life.”

One has to wonder about what in the actor’s inner life resulted in the graphic portrayal of Trump and scattered student bodies in the wake of the mass shooting at a Florida high school last month that left 17 people dead.

O’Donnell, meanwhile, has taken her art to the next level and is selling it on Etsy where the paintings are going for about $125 to $150. According to the site, she has had 114 sales so far. As further therapy for her Trump Derangement Syndrome, O’Donnell has vowed not to stop painting until Trump is out of office.

She also indicates on the account that all proceeds will go to charity — specifically “ones he hates.”
