Student activist David Hogg insults Dana Loesch, tries to get NRA members to turn on her

Student David Hogg has became the face of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School following last week’s shooting in Parkland, Fla., which claimed the lives of 17 people.

The outspoken student is a media favorite for his strong gun control stance and was featured on ABC’s “This Week,” where he denounced NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch as someone who espouses “spectacle.”

After telling host George Stephanopoulos that his generation will make a difference where others have failed because they are very critical on social media and “we love to complain about things,” he opted to address NRA members directly.

“To the members of the NRA I want to say this,” he said. “Listen to Dana, is she really speaking to you guys? Is she trying to fight for you guys? Or is she trying to fight for the gun lobby?”

“She seems — everything she’s saying seems like spectacle,” Hogg continued. “Is it just her tone? Or is it what she’s actually saying?”

Of course, the teenage activist is appealing to the folks he called “child murderers” last week.

“If you can’t get elected without taking money from child murderers, why are you running?” Hogg asked of politicians who accept campaign donations from the NRA.

On Saturday, Hogg appeared on MSNBC to defend the Broward deputy who hid and did nothing as a gunman killed his classmates, saying the officer is a “good person.”

“He, just like every other police officer out there at heart, is a good person,” Hogg said. “He didn’t take action in this event, and I can’t explain why … there are no words to explain why he wouldn’t take action to take out this individual, but I think it’s a good example of if he didn’t take action and four others didn’t, I mean, who does?”

“Who wants to go down the barrel of an AR-15, even with a Glock?” said the student who blamed the NRA for the killings. “And I know that’s what these police officers are supposed to do, but they’re people too.”
