A Yale University psychiatrist warned that President Donald Trump is a “dangerous leader” in an unsolicited diagnosis of the man she has never even met.
In the wake of the tragic shooting at a Florida high school last week that left 17 people dead, Trump called on Americans to report red flags and threats in an attempt to avert future tragedies.
Dr. Bandy X. Lee decided it’s the president who is the real threat.
“We have an analogous situation with a dangerous leader who has access to far more lethal weapons than an AR-15,” Lee wrote in an op-ed for the New York Daily News that was published Monday. “Following the President’s words, I am reporting again to authorities, both as a citizen and a mental health professional, and making a record here.”
Lee, who has never personally examined Trump in a professional capacity, apparently has no qualms offering a diagnosis. The Yale psychiatrist spoke to a group of lawmakers in December – all Democrats except for one lone Republican – about the mental state of the Commander-in-Chief.

“But if we followed the President’s words, he himself has instructed us to ‘report such instances to authorities, again and again.’ Hence, here is another try, this time through the President’s own words, any one utterance of which should be a ‘red flag’ warning on the future potential for violence.” Lee wrote in Monday’s op-ed before launching into a list of examples of so-called violent remarks in some of Trump’s comments.
Lee listed Trump quotes from stating, “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Ave. and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose voters,” to his “grab them by the p—-” quote from the “Access Hollywood” tape and even his warning to North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un that “I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one…”
“These are clear statements and acts of verbal aggression, sexual aggression, incitement to violence, endorsement of violence, encouragement of assassination, promotion of violent imagery, and actual threats and taunting of a hostile nation with nuclear power,” Lee wrote, citing a “pattern.”
She warned that dismissing Trump’s remarks is unwise as his “position of power” poses “a danger to public health.”
The president underwent a physical exam at the beginning of the year and, upon his request, also took a cognitive test. The White House doctor pronounced that Trump had passed both with flying colors.

Meanwhile, liberal “professionals” like Lee spout off their own diagnoses based on nothing but their anti-Trump agenda, ignoring the fact that this same behavior would never be tolerated against their own.
“Considering Mr. Trump as one of the authorities, I am following his words to say: Mr. President, please submit to a proper examination. If you do not wish to, you can always resign,” Lee concluded her op-ed. “Your dangerousness concerns the position you hold and the arsenal you have access to. Once you are no longer in that position, you will not be a danger.”
