J-Law gets wrecked for coming to Warren’s defense over her non-existent Native American claims: ‘I could play Pocahontas’

Elizabeth Warren has a fan in Hollywood.

Actress Jennifer Lawrence seemingly defended the Massachusetts senator and took aim at President Trump on Thursday when she told a reporter she would like to play Warren “as Pocahontas.”

Asked what political figure she would be interested in portraying, the “Hunger Games” star told ITK, “I could play Sen. [Elizabeth] Warren as Pocahontas.”

Lawrence, who was in Washington promoting her upcoming movie, “Red Sparrow,” has been critical of the president before, recently telling Oprah Winfrey that a meeting between her and the commander-in-chief would end with “a martini to [President Trump’s] face!”

In September, Lawrence suggested that last year’s devastating hurricanes in Texas and Florida were “Mother Nature’s rage” for Americans electing the New York billionaire.

President Trump has repeatedly described Warren with the “Pocahontas” moniker as a way of mocking the Democrat’s claims of Native American ancestry.

As the president noted, Warren used her self-proclaimed Cherokee heritage–which she herself admitted she cannot document–to list herself as a minority on a legal directory reviewed by deans and hiring committees when she was still working as a university professor.

Harvard Law School even heralded Warren as its “first woman of color.”

The Democrat doubled down on her ancestry claims on Wednesday, criticizing President Trump’s alleged insults to the Native American community.

“It is deeply offensive that this president keeps a portrait of Andrew Jackson hanging in the Oval Office, honoring a man who did his best to wipe out Native people,” she said at Washington, D.C.’s National Congress of American Indians Tribal Summit.

Indian Country Today reported on genealogy expert Michael Patrick Leahy’s finding that Warren is a descendant of Tennessee militiaman Jonathan Crawford, who rounded up Cherokees and removed them during the Trail of Tears.

Following Lawrence’s support for Warren, both the actress and the senator were derided on social media.
