The Washington Post is being skewered by liberals over its newest hire: op-ed columnist Megan McArdle, a libertarian anti-Trumper who thinks school children should “gang rush” mass shooters like Nikolas Cruz.
Shortly after the WaPo announced McArdle’s hire this week, critics went on Twitter to remind everyone that she had reacted to the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting by suggesting that children under siege “gang-rush” the shooter instead of hiding.
Because telling untrained, unarmed little kids to attack a crazed gunman is excellent advice. What could go wrong?
“I’d also like us to encourage people to gang rush shooters, rather than following their instincts to hide,” McArdle wrote in 2012 at the Daily Beast. “If we drilled it into young people that the correct thing to do is for everyone to instantly run at the guy with the gun, these sorts of mass shootings would be less deadly, because even a guy with a very powerful weapon can be brought down by 8-12 unarmed bodies piling on him at once.”

Not surprisingly, Twitter reacted by mocking Megan McArdle’s ridiculous advice, saying it wouldn’t work and is just plain stupid.

Meanwhile, liberals reacted to the latest school shooting in Florida by demanding gun control and blaming President Trump, Republicans, and the National Rifle Association.
It bears noting that when Democrats controlled the House of Representatives, the Senate, and the White House during Barack Obama’s presidency, they failed to enact gun-control reforms. But since Trump is president, it’s a convenient time to blame him for school shootings that pre-dated his one-year tenure.

1. Not Republican
2. Not observant Christian or Jewish
3. Not a NRA member

Why do I have a hard time trusting the FBI?
Because they knew about the San Bernardino shooters, Boston bombers and Nikolas Cruz, and do nothing. But when they know a dossier is fake (paid for by Hillary) they have an all out investigation.
