Americans had barely begun to process, let alone mourn the deaths, of the 17 victims of a shooting at a Florida high school when liberals began spouting off about gun control.
And one Democratic congressman laid the weight of decision-making and action at the feet of President Trump, challenging him to “get off his ass” and do something – because naturally the president has been doing nothing up til now.
Barely two hours after the first reports of an active shooter in a Broward County high school, Rep. Seth Moulton took to Twitter to call on the president to “do something.” The Massachusetts Democrat was responding to a tweet from Trump offering condolences to victims of the rampage.

A 19-year-old former student at the school, Nikolas Cruz, allegedly opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, leaving 17 dead including students and staff, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Cruz was reportedly arrested by police a short distance away from the school.
Moulton is one of the many liberals who predictably unleashed criticism immediately after mass shootings, not even allowing a respectful time for victims and others to process the tragedy and mourn.
Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut addressed Trump from the Senate floor as images from the south Florida school were still being streamed on news networks across the nation.
“This epidemic of mass slaughter, this scourge of school shooting after school shooting” he said, “happens nowhere else other than the United States of America.” A statement that was more effect than fact.
