Justice Ginsburg blames a mix of too much Machismo and ‘sexism’ for Hillary’s devastating defeat

Remember: For liberals, not voting Democrat automatically makes you a bigot.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg clarified comments she made in September about Hillary Clinton’s 2016 election loss, doubling down on her belief that “sexism” and a “macho atmosphere” played a key role in the Democrat’s defeat

The Justice spoke at a Columbia University Women’s Conference on Sunday and was asked about remarks from last year in which she said that sexism “no doubt” was a “major, major factor” in President Trump’s electoral victory over Hillary Clinton.

“I think it was difficult for Hillary Clinton to get by even the macho atmosphere prevailing during that campaign, and she was criticized in a way I think no man would have been criticized,” Ginsburg said on Sunday.

The 84-year-old Bill Clinton appointee argued that others would agree with her.

“I think anyone who watched that campaign unfold would answer it the same way I did: Yes, sexism played a prominent part.”

During the 2016 race, Ginsburg called then-candidate Trump a “faker” with “no consistency.”

The New York billionaire responded by telling the New York Times that “I think it’s highly inappropriate that a United States Supreme Court judge gets involved in a political campaign, frankly. I think it’s a disgrace to the court and I think she should apologize to the court.”

Ginsburg eventually walked back her statement. She skipped out on President Trump’s State of the Union address last month, citing a schedule conflict.

Twitter users were quick to mock Ginsburg’s take on the election.
