Does it bother Nancy Pelosi to be on the wrong side of every argument?
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders praised the economic effects of the Trump-backed GOP tax bill on Saturday, while simultaneously digging at House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) dismissal of the legislation’s resultant bonuses as “crumbs.”
“100,000 Best Buy employees get Trump tax cut bonuses or as Nancy Pelosi likes to call them: ‘crumbs,'” Sanders wrote.
The Press Secretary also linked to a Star Tribune article describing bonuses Best Buy is giving to its employees across the country in light of tax reform.
More than 100,000 of the retail giant’s workers in the US, Mexico, and Canada will have extra cash, with full-time employees receiving a $1,000 bonus and part-time employees getting $500.
Best Buy will also place $20 million in the Best Buy Foundation, which will be used to expand tech centers and Geek Squad academies. Part of the funds will go toward a nationwide employee volunteer program that will engage teenagers with technology.
“Our goal was simple: to say ‘thank you’ to more than 100,000 of our employees and help accelerate our work to bring much-needed technology training to 1 million underserved teens a year,” said a Best Buy spokesman.

Best Buy will be joining Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes’ and over 300 companies that are responding to the GOP tax cuts with wage raises, pension and 401(k) contributions, charitable donations, capital investment, and bonuses as high as $3,000.
“In terms of the bonus that corporate America receives versus the crumbs they are giving to workers to put the schmooze on is so pathetic,” Pelosi said of the bonuses earlier this month.
According to Roll Call’s Wealth of Congress index, Pelosi has a net worth of $29.35 million, making her one of the richest members of Congress.

It’s no wonder Pelosi would so easily write off money that the average American could sorely use.
