President Donald Trump took to Twitter Saturday to say the FISA memo released by the House Intelligence Committee “totally vindicates” him.
In fact, the president declared that “collusion is dead,” saying the “Russian Witch Hunt” is “an American disgrace.”
“This memo totally vindicates ‘Trump’ in probe,” President Trump tweeted. “But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!”

The release of the memo exposed potential corruption in the upper echelons of the FBI and Justice Department.
According to Joe diGenova, the former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, the FBI and DOJ “basically conspired with the Democratic Party, the DNC and the Hillary Clinton campaign to exonerate her of violations of the Espionage Act and, in the course of trying to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president, to frame him for a nonexistent crime of collusion.”

The memo also contained a surreal assertion that the FISA application to surveil former Trump aide Carter Page used a Yahoo News article to help corroborate the Steele dossier, even though Steele leaked the information to Yahoo News.

President Trump’s tweet comes after Tom Fitton, president of watchdog group Judicial Watch, posed a potentially earth-shattering question during an appearance Friday on Fox News, as he connected the dots between special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian collusion and the FISA memo.
“There is no Russia collusion story without the dossier,” he said. “And we now know and have confirmed six ways to Sunday there was nothing behind it so, therefore, why is there a special counsel investigation?”
Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., the ranking member on the House Intel committee who claimed that releasing the memo would threaten national security, wasted no time responding to Trump’s tweet.
“Quite the opposite, Mr. President. The most important fact disclosed in this otherwise shoddy memo was that FBI investigation began July 2016 with your adviser, Papadopoulos, who was secretly discussing stolen Clinton emails with the Russians,” Schiff tweeted.
