Jay-Z just got schooled.
The rapper and media mogul was censured by teenage social media personality CJ Pearson, who slammed the rapper for his critique on President Trump and declared “you do not care about black people.”

Pearson excoriated Jay-Z for calling the president a “super bug” during an interview with CNN’s Van Jones Saturday night.
During the interview, the recording artist, who boasts a personal net worth of $810 million, told Jones that in his opinion, record-low African-American unemployment levels do not make up for President Trump’s perceived slight of the black community, including his feud with pro football players who protest the national anthem.
“It’s not about money at the end of the day,” Jay-Z said. “Money doesn’t equate to happiness. That’s missing the whole point.”
Pearson begged to differ, arguing that increased employment opportunities are very meaningful to working-class blacks:
“Let’s stop the charade, let’s stop the pretending, and let’s be honest here: You do not care about black people,” the 15-year-old said. “Because those jobs mean a lot. They may not mean a lot to you, because of your high net worth and your amazing rap career that you’ve had, but to average Americans — average people of color across this nation — those jobs mean a lot.”
Pearson stated that the president empathizes with the plight of blacks more than Jay-Z.
“I understand you don’t understand that. I understand that you don’t get it. I understand that you don’t empathize with their struggle. But guess what? Donald Trump does, I do, and so do millions of other Americans.”
Pearson came to prominence with YouTube videos that scathingly reproved Barack Obama.
Although Pearson briefly supporter Bernie Sanders during the 2016 primary season, he returned to conservatism and voted for President Trump, penning a Time magazine op-ed in support of the New York billionaire.
According to Van Jones, “Jay-Z is a much better example for America than Donald Trump.”
It’s encouraging to know young people are better at choosing role models than CNN hosts.
