Trump. Donald Trump.

The president arrived in Davos, Switzerland an international man of mystery. (Or as his critics would have it, the arch-villain of the criminal outfit SPECTRE.)
Of course, there was maximum security with binocular-wielding armed guards.

The America-First president arrived at the snow-crested summit bringing along a sales pitch of a booming U.S. economy and a portfolio worth “one billion dollars.”

No matter what one’s views, the photos of Marine One touching down in Davos, Switzerland, look like something out of a James Bond film.
The Marine One here hovers over the summit, observing the terrain for any sign of a threat.

The world’s richest and most powerful watched as the presidential transport made its descent.

This man welcoming Trump to Switzerland could bearly contain his excitement.

Unlike the security forces charged with protecting the world leaders.

Security guards were standing by and at the ready, should anything get out of hand.

But protesters couldn’t make up their minds what to protest about.

So many options.

The World Economic Forum itself was tucked away in a complex of buildings.

It’s called the Davos Congress Center, there nestled away among the snow-covered rooftops.

That’s where Donald Trump was making friends, along with other popular world figures like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu warmed up the crowd by calling the U.N. a “den of slander.”

Trump had many more fashionable things to say about the United Nations.
“I have to say, on the United Nations, we were pretty much out in the wilderness by ourselves, the United States, and we heard every country was going to be against us,” Trump said. “And it was very interesting.”

“I said, you know, we give billions and billions of dollars to these countries, it amounts to hundreds of millions and sometimes into the billions for certain countries and they vote against us,” he continued. “And I made a very simple statement that I’m watching. I’m watching.”
