Chuck Schumer is learning that when you play with fire, sooner or later you get burned.
Dozens of illegal immigrants took to the Senate Minority Leader’s New York home on Tuesday, protesting Democrats’ Monday vote for a short-term government spending bill and demanding amnesty for America’s illegal alien population.
“We want a clean DREAM act!” the crowd roared. “When do we want it? Now!”
The protesters were opposed to Senate’s approval of a Continuing Resolution that keeps the government funded through February 8. The bill did not contain amendments related to the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which the Trump administration ended.

Congress has until March 5 to reach on deal on DACA, after which many illegal aliens currently covered by DACA will lose their status and be subject to deportation.
Schumer’s concession on the stopgap funding bill, which ended a three-day government shutdown, came on the condition of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) promising to bring an immigration bill to the Senate floor for debate by February.

The crowd of amnesty advocates berated the top Democrat’s perceived “cave,” chanting in English and Spanish, “If he won’t let us dream, we won’t let him sleep.”

The protest was organized by the group United We Dream. The organization’s website lists George Soros’ Open Society Foundation as a funding partner.
In a press release, United We Dream said it was “outraged” by Democrats’ seeming betrayal.

“Our community is outraged by the Senate vote to pass a temporary budget deal with no solution for Dreamers. Instead of holding firm for Dreamers, Senator Schumer and most Senate Democrats backed down from their commitment to stand up for our communities. …
“It is past time for Senator Schumer to use his political power in Congress as the minority leader and finally bring home a clean #DreamActNow for undocumented youth, without compromising the future of their families by funding a racist wall and increased border security measures that only tear families apart.”
“We are not politicians we are activists and it’s our job to demand action,” a Twitter user associated with the group wrote.

Also on Tuesday, immigration activists protested on Capitol Hill.
@MaketheRoadNY members are still on Capitol Hill holding Senators accountable for not protecting Dreamers and passing a #CleanDreamAct! Pls keep calling and letting Senators know you stand with us! @UNITEDWEDREAM @CPDAction pic.twitter.com/KSJ2nIZNJs

On January 10, a similar crowd of protesters stood outside Schumer’s New York office, demanding passage of the DREAM Act amnesty.

The irony was not lost on political observers.
Wonder if @SenSchumer opened his doors to them …”c’mon in -make yourself at home”? Hmmmmm!?!?

The “hardworking”, “tax-paying” and “highly educated” “Dreamers” have the time to protest outside Schumer’s house on a Monday. Don’t they have jobs or schools to go to?

Dreamers protesting outside Schumer’s home. Dreamers blocking the entrance to Disneyland. Liberals fighting their own. Just a small glimpse of what a country under liberal rule would be like.

The demonstrations brought to mind a September presser by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) last month, in which she was shut down loudspoken DACA supporters.
Democrats gave a plaltform to the rabble-rousers–and now find themselves forced to deal with monsters of their own creation.
