Trump is going into the ‘globalist den’ at Davos. But Melania’s plans have America buzzing

President Donald Trump has surprised many political observers with his announcement to attend the The World Economic Forum, a gathering of billionaires and global power brokers.

The America-First President was talked into attending the Davos summit, described as the “den of globalism,” at the suggestion of Vice President Mike Pence.

President Trump was further persuaded by French President Emmanuel Macron, who made headlining the event of the world’s most powerful and influential “sound fun,” a source told Axios’ Mike Allen. The publication’s reporter Jonathan Swan noted that Pence was considering attending as well.

One person who won’t be attending? First Lady Melania Trump.

The Washington Examiner got the scoop on the First Lady’s plans during the Davos summit:

First lady Melania Trump will no longer join her husband President Trump on his trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, this week.

The first lady’s communications director Stephanie Grisham told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday the office made the change of plans due to “scheduling and logistical issues,” though she did not state what the first lady will do while in the U.S.

Melania Trump is certainly in a difficult position with numerous rumors swirling about her husband’s alleged affair with porn star Stormy Daniels. The porn star, known in real life as Stephanie Clifford, reportedly received $130,000 in “hush money,” although she has denied in a legal statement having an affair with Donald Trump.

The First Lady has accompanied the president on several overseas trips, including Japan, South Korea, China, South Vietnam, Italy, Poland, and Germany, and showed off her deft diplomatic skills. Not only has her presence added elegance and grace to the diplomatic missions, but her international style has complemented her husband’s America First foreign policy outlook.

Speaking five languages and captivating audiences with her high fashion, her presence will surely be missed.

On Trump’s Davos agenda will assuredly be speaking up the booming American economy, specifically the skyrocketing stock market, as well as the need to confront global security threats like ISIS and North Korea.
