CNN comes up with wildest medical conspiracy theory yet for why Trump is ‘off his rocker’

“You gotta know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em. Know when to walk away and know when to run.”

CNN, a huge winner of President Trump’s Fake News Awards, obviously never listened to the iconic Kenny Rogers song, “The Gambler,” which says you have to quit when you’re ahead (or, in CNN’s case, when you’re woefully behind).

CNN continued to push a crackpot theory that President Trump might be suffering from memory loss because he takes the popular cholesterol-lowering drug Crestor. Earth to CNN: Trump got a perfect score on a cognitive test that specifically screened for memory loss.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer unsuccessfully tried to goad CNN medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta into saying President Trump suffers from memory loss because he takes a cholesterol drug.

The comedy unfolded on the Clown News Network on Wednesday, the day after presidential physician Dr. Ronny Jackson declared President Trump’s mental and physical health “excellent.”

CNN host Wolf Blitzer recounted that Trump has high cholesterol (a common condition that nearly 1 in 3 Americans has) and he takes the statin Crestor to lower his cholesterol.

“Statins could potentially cause memory loss,” Blitzer said, as he tried to push CNN’s “Trump-has-dementia” narrative.

Dr. Gupta said that’s true, but then concluded (to Blitzer’s chagrin) that President Trump got a perfect score on a mental fitness test.

Gupta said:

But what Dr. Jackson has said is that President Trump did have this cognitive test. The Montreal Cognitive Test, which is a 10-minute exam that does tests things like memory, attention, your ability to recall things. [Trump] got a perfect score. A 30 out of 30.

Dr. Jackson didn’t believe that President Trump really needed this cognitive test. He only did it because the president requested it.”

It’s ironic that Dr. Sanjay Gupta was discussing memory loss because he once boasted on live TV that he had operated on an 8-year-old girl in Kathmandu during a CNN segment on the 2015 Nepal earthquake.

In fact, Gupta never operated on her. What’s more, the 8-year-old girl never underwent surgery. D’oh!!! Sounds like Gupta graduated from the Brian Williams School of Faux Journalism.

Wolf Blitzer then noted that the 6-foot-3 Trump is overweight at 239 pounds. Dr. Jackson said the president — like most Americans — could stand to lose 10 to 15 pounds.

In his press briefing, Dr. Jackson — who was appointed presidential physician by Barack Obama — said he plans to work with President Trump to increase his exercise and overhaul his diet.

Dr. Jackson then remarked: “I told the president that if he had a healthier diet over the last 20 years, he might live to be 200 years old. He has incredible genes. If I didn’t watch what I ate, I wouldn’t have the cardiac and overall health that he has.”

Not surprisingly, Sanjay Gupta was widely mocked on social media for CNN’s latest contribution to Trump’s Fake News Awards.
