The open border crowd in America appears to be on edge over the possibility that the U.S. Congress may not grant amnesty to so-called DREAMers in the country illegally.
So much so, that you’d have to be “raised by wolves” to believe in immigration laws.
As discussions are underway on addressing former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which President Donald Trump is ending, and controversy over the president’s alleged use of the term “sh*thole countries” in warp-drive, the issue was ripe for discussion on MSNBC’s “AM Joy.”
MSNBC’s resident racist Joy Reid presented a panel that included Stephanie Hamill, adviser to the National Diversity Coalition for Trump, contributor Anushay Hossain and the Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin, who’d have you believe she’s conservative.
Unfortunately for Hamill, she respects our laws and agrees with Trump that we can’t allow everyone in the world to come to America.
But when she noted that the U.S. is “the most generous country in the world” when it comes to immigration, allowing “one million green cards a year,” the panel exploded.
Rubin was especially bitter in her response, calling the claim a “lie,” even though the U.S. does indeed allow one million people a year to legally enter the country.
And despite 12-20 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., many coming and going at will after being deported dozens of times, the panel insisted that we don’t have open borders.
“Okay, number one, we do not have open borders,” Rubin said. “If she’d actually talk to any real people who actually work for the Immigration and Customs Agency, she would find out that in fact we have fewer border crossings than we have. Our borders are more secure than ever…”
When Hamill interjected to say if the borders are secure, it’s due to Trump’s stringent polices on immigration, Rubin got downright rude.
“Excuse me, it’s my turn! You be quiet while I speak!” the elitist columnist spewed.
She proceeded to advocate on behalf of those in the U.S. illegally, saying “it’s circular logic to say we are a nation of laws, therefore these people have to go.”
“They don’t have to go,” Rubin proclaimed. “First of all, Congress can make sure that they stay here permanently, secondly the president can extend that.”
Ironically, Rubin jumped on the claim that the president used the term “sh*thole” to describe Haiti — which the president denies — to claim Haiti “is not a place that these people can return to, particularly after devastation and some very poor policies on behalf of the United States and others.”
In effect, if the country is a “sh*thole,” it’s because of Mother Nature… and America.
“What kind of person would send back people who have been working here, who have contributed to this country, who have children here, who would be separated from their children, from their communities, what kind of inhumane beast – are you raised by wolves?” she said, practically frothing at the mouth.
