Actress and liberal activist Natalie Portman wore all black at this year’s Golden Globes to let America know that it’s “Times Up” for the sexual harassers in Hollywood and elsewhere.
A worthy goal, to be sure, but Portman may not be the best front person for the cause, or for feminism in general, considering the massive skeleton that’s just come out of her own closet.

Indeed, the woman who, while presenting the Best Director award made it a point to point out the “all male” nominees, signed a petition less than a decade ago calling for the pardon of none other than child rapist Roman Polanski.
Hypocrisy much, Natalie Portman?
All sexual misconduct is bad, but according to Portman some purveyors of sexual misconduct must be, well, more equal than others.
The petition calling for Polanski’s release was created by Frenchman Bernard Henri Levy in 2009. It reads (per Google translation):

After pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a 13-year-old, the former Hollywood director escaped to France while awaiting sentencing, and has been escaping justice there ever since.
Polanski’s then 13-year-old victim isn’t the only one denied justice. Recently, Los Angeles prosecutors have declined to bring criminal charges against the filmmaker arising from a woman who claimed Polanski molested her during a 1975 photo shoot when she was just 10-years-old.
Statute of limitations and all that.
Apparently, it was just too long ago and, well, it’s not like he’s served time or anything.
