After fake Hawaii alert of Ballistic Missile starts panic, Rep. Tulsi Gabbard points finger at Trump

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) appeared in a CNN interview after a fake emergency alert of a “ballistic missile threat incoming” on mobile phones and television panicked Hawaiian residents on Saturday.

Rep. Gabbard sent out a message that the alert was a “false alarm” on social media.

Appearing on CNN after the fake emergency alert, which she attributed to an “inadvertent message” that was a “mistake,” she had pointed accusations to make after the panic.

“Hawaii just got a taste of this stark reality,” Gabbard said, “of what we face here, with a potential nuclear strike on Hawaii.”

“The reality is,” Gabbard continued, “Every American needs to understand, if you had gone through what the people of Hawaii just went through, you’d be angry. You know, just like I am. I have been talking about this threat from North Korea for years.”

“A horrified second,” the CNN host commented, “Once you realize it’s not going to happen, that’s when the anger is going to set in.”

“Oh, absolutely,” Gabbard agreed. “It points to the failure of our leaders that we are sitting here in a state where this threat, this text message, is a very real thing. Today’s one was a mistake.”

“Donald Trump is taking too long,” she continued. “He’s not taking this threat seriously. There’s no time to waste. The people of Hawaii and this country should not have to go through something like this before leaders in this country start to take this threat seriously.”

There’s also “no time to waste” for Democrats to deflect blame onto the president for a major screwup that sent Americans into a panic. Maybe our time would be better spent trying to fix this alarming problem than pointing fingers at political opponents.
