Whoopi Goldberg, co-host of ABC’s “The View,” commented on all the hoopla over the possibility of Oprah Winfrey running for president and made what amounted to a silly comparison of qualifications between Oprah and President Donald Trump.
“People are talking about Oprah campaigning and campaigning for her after her [Golden Globes] speech,” Whoopi said. “But now some are saying, well, is she the right person for the job because one of the biggest criticisms about ‘you-know-who’ is that he’s not qualified for the gig.”

The remark prompted co-host Joy-less Behar to offer an inane analogy of her own.
“No, that’s true,” Behar declared. “He doesn’t read the book and she has a book club.”
As for Oprah’s qualifications being comparable, incurable Trump-basher Bill Kristol’s on board.
“Can I honestly look at you and say she’s less qualified to be president than Donald Trump? I cannot,” he said Monday on MSNBC.

Co-host Sunny Hostin commented on Oprah’s lack of political experience.
“I said it yesterday, and I got a lot of flack for it, but I think Oprah is smart and she’s done such wonderful things in media and the acting world, but she doesn’t have any experience in politics, just like Donald Trump,” Hostin said. “He has set the bar so low that now people are like, ‘If Donald Trump can do it, Oprah of course can do it.’
Looking past a booming economy, she then claimed Trump is “not doing a good job,” getting an agreement from Trump Derangement Syndrome poster child Behar.
The ladies went on to effectively throw progressive champion Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who many expect to make a presidential run in 2020, under the bus in favor of Oprah.
“She’s not going to be president,” Whoopi said, after co-host Megan McCain brought Warren into the conversation.
“If she could win, I’d back her up,” Behar chimed in. “I’m not sure that she’s a little — you know, for the country right now.”
