Juanita Broaddrick unloads on Oprah for protecting her ‘rapist’: ‘Funny, I never heard you mention my name …’

If Oprah Winfrey wants to run for president as a champion of women, she’s going to have to answer to someone first.

Bill Clinton rape accuser Juanita Broaddrick slammed the media icon for allegedly protecting the former president’s reputation because he is her “friend.”

“Hey @Oprah #Goldenglobes,” Broaddrick tweeted on Monday night. “Funny I’ve never heard you mention my name. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?Guess not. My rapist was/is your friend, Bill Clinton.”

Broaddrick made her remarks in response to Winfrey’s widely-lauded Golden Globes speech on Sunday, in which she declared the “time is up” for “brutally powerful men.”

One of Broaddrick’s followers shared a photo of Winfrey with Clinton.

The picture prompted Broaddrick to write:

“Remember this @Oprah You’ve had so many opportunities to bring up my allegations, which have never been discredited. Why??”

The Clinton accuser also responded to a New York Times article that described Winfrey’s questioning of Central Park jogger Trisha Meili, who was raped in 1989 by a group of five men known as the Central Park Five.

“During a 2002 interview, Winfrey had the following exchange with Meili:

Ms. Winfrey: When I first heard about you, I thought, why were you running alone in Central Park at night?

Central Park Jogger: You’re not the first person to say that. For me, running was a release at the end of the day, and I had this feeling that, hey, I have every right to run where I want, when I want. I’d been running in the park for two years. It was not a smart thing to do. Yet that is absolutely no justification for what happened to me.

Ms. Winfrey: And believe me, I’m not sitting here trying to justify it. But the idea of running alone in Central Park is a foreign concept to me. You had to be the kind of person who either thought you were invincible or who was just nuts.”

Meili told the Times, “If she were to ask me that question now I’d say, ‘If that isn’t a blame the victim question, I don’t know what is,’ because that’s exactly what it feels like. So it’s like, O.K. so it’s my fault that I was out there?”

Broaddrick asserted the article showed Winfrey’s “callousness.”

Broaddrick claims Clinton raped her in 1978 when she was 35 years old and he was Arkansas Attorney General. At the time, Broaddrick was a nurse seeking to volunteer for Clinton’s gubernatorial campaign.

Broaddrick also lashed out at Time magazine in December for excluding her from the Person of the Year cover story, “The Silence Breakers,” which encompassed all women who have spoken out against sexual assault and harassment.

In November, Broaddrick criticized comedian Chelsea Handler for a tweet that indirectly accused President Trump of “molesting” “young girls.”

Handler apologized, saying she did not know Broaddrick’s story.

When it comes to victims of famous Democrats, left-wing celebrities seem to still be following a policy of silence.
