President Trump took to Twitter Monday morning to tout improved employment among the black and Hispanic communities under his watch.

“African American unemployment is the lowest ever recorded in our country,” the president wrote. “The Hispanic unemployment rate dropped a full point in the last year and is close to the lowest in recorded history. Dems did nothing for you but get your vote! #NeverForget @foxandfriends.”

President Trump alluded to a Friday report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics that showed unemployment among the black population fell to 6.8 percent in December from 7.8 percent the previous month.

The last time the rate was 7 percent or less was 17 years ago–in April 2000.
The Washington Examiner found that “black unemployment at white unemployment fell to the lowest level on record in December.”

Among Hispanics, unemployment went down from 4.8 percent to 4.7 percent between November and December.
On Monday, the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, shared the statistics on Twitter.
The Hispanic unemployment rate dropped to 4.7% – the LOWEST in the history of the United States. This Administration and @realDonaldTrump are working hard to create opportunities for all Americans…and we are just getting started! 🇺🇸 #MAGA #JobsReport https://t.co/MvPOrIqdXI

Unemployment across all demographics has dropped to a 17-year low of 4.1 percent during the Trump presidency. Wages have risen in communities with low unemployment, and the stock market has continually hit all-time highs.
On the campaign trail, President Trump promised a “New Deal for Black America,” comprised of “safe communities, great education, and high-paying jobs.”
The president has been accused of racism by African American community leaders and pundits. Civil rights activist Al Sharpton has called the president an “unyielding demagogue” who has allegedly made race relations “more toxic.”
Despite the accusations, President Trump’s policies of lower taxes and fewer regulations are bettering the lives of black Americans.

Liberals’ issue with the president apparently isn’t that he’s racist–it’s that he’s a Republican.
