The mainstream media isn’t even trying to hide their biases anymore.
American media personality Oprah Winfrey shook the audience at Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards.

Upon becoming the first black woman to win the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award, Winfrey delivered a politically-charged speech that touched on the themes of racial equality and the #MeToo movement.
Winfrey declared that time “is up” for “brutally powerful men,” tying the Civil Rights movement to recent activism against sexual assault and harassment in the entertainment industry.
Speaking of Recy Taylor, a black woman who was raped by a group of white men in 1944, Winfrey said:
“She lived as we all have lived too many years in a culture broken by brutally powerful men. For too long, women have not been heard or believed if they dare speak the truth to the power of those men. But their time is up. Their time is up. Their time is up.”

The former talk show host’s acceptance speech was met with thunderous applause by the audience of celebrities at the Golden Globes.
After the remarks, a number of media outlets openly called for Winfrey to enter the 2020 presidential race.

The Los Angeles Times ran a headline encouraging Winfrey to run.
As did the Daily Beast.
And The Washington Post.
Several public figures voiced their support for a Winfrey candidacy.
Switched back to the Golden Globes to watch Oprah get her award. Never let it be said that I don’t respect the president of the United States.

“A new day is on the horizon…”. @Oprah speech at #GoldenGlobes2018 was a tour de force. It underscores why so many political pros believe Oprah, if she ran, would easily become America’s first woman President. And it wouldn’t matter who the opponent is… #Oprah2020

Interviewed 1000s of people in my career, none more impressive than @Oprah.
If she runs for President, don’t underestimate her. #Globes— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 8, 2018
Oscar-winner Meryl Streep reportedly said Winfrey “doesn’t have a choice” about running now.
Asked Meryl Streep what she thought of Oprah's speech. Her answer: "She launched a rocket tonight. I want her to run for president. I don't think she had any intention [of declaring]. But now she doesn't have a choice."

Winfrey’s longtime partner, Stedman Graham, told the Los Angeles Times the celebrity is open to running.
Apparently, liberals aren’t as opposed to a TV star running for president as they claimed.
