In what is sure to add a little intrigue to post-election happenings in Alabama, one of the women who accused Senate candidate Roy Moore of sexual misconduct said that her home burned to the ground earlier this week.
As for the intrigue, investigators suspect arson.
Tina Johnson, who accused Moore of groping her in 1991 at his office, told AL.com on Friday that her home caught fire on Tuesday while she and her husband were at work.

Johnson and her family lost everything they owned.
“I am devastated, just devastated,” she said. “We have just the clothes on our backs.”
Now for the buzz kill.
The local sheriff said the fire does not appear to be related to the bitter campaign.
“The ongoing investigation does not lead us to believe that the fire is any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him,” Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said in a statement.
A local ne’er-do-well is suspected of being responsible for the blaze.
“A suspect of interest is being spoken to,” Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Natalie Barton said. “But there have been no charges, to my knowledge, related to the fire at this time.”
Neighbors witnessed a young man with a history of public intoxication at the house before and during the blaze, AL.com reported.
“He’s been trouble in the neighborhood for a while,” said neighbor Kevin Tallant, who lives across the street from Johnson.
