Rep. Keith Ellison claimed he found a book that would “strike fear” in President Trump’s heart but ended up raising eyebrows on social media.
The deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee posted a photo on Twitter Wednesday of himself posing with a book promoting the violent “Antifa” movement.

The Minnesota Democrat, who last year claimed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un was acting more responsibly than Trump, “found” the book, “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook,” at a Minneapolis bookstore.
The book’s author, Mark Bray, is a former Occupy Wall Street organizer and current Dartmouth visiting scholar. The book is described as “a smart and gripping investigation … of the full history of anti-fascism from its origins to the present day” on Amazon.
Just googling the author’s name would have told Ellison he went on Meet the Press to defend using violence to suppress speech https://t.co/ahlM8mK2zF

Antifa activists have been behind some of the most violent clashes on college campuses and other events in 2017. In November, the leftist groups planned anti-Trump protests in multiple U.S. cities. The Department of Homeland Security formally classified Antifa activities as “domestic terrorist violence” back in 2016 as Republicans – and eventually Democrats – sought to distance themselves from the radical left-wing activists last year.
Hillary Clinton’s home literally catches fire, the place it broke out is quite the coincidence
Ellison has been a vocal critic of Trump and his policies, raging last month against the president’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital as a “horrible tragedy.” The DNC’s slogan last year to “rise” against Trump’s “hatred” and to “organize to defeat him” also spawned its share of violent responses.

Ellison’s tweet ignited some backlash on social media as Twitter users like Conservative Review’s Jordan Schachtel asked “Does the @DNC now support terrorist groups? ”
The FBI and DHS consider Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. Keith is a DNC official AND member of Congress. Does the @DNC now support terrorist groups? Every Democrat in Congress should have to answer for this ON the record. https://t.co/Xi49ZP1aGu

Um, the deputy chair of the DNC is endorsing a book that advocates for violence in the streets https://t.co/mSpE4cFd9Z

Democrats have gone “all in” with antifa. This is a gift for the ages. Now every attack or riot can be blamed on the DNC.
Thank you Keith Ellison! pic.twitter.com/F3CMshLxrB

@keithellison is the new leader of the #AntifaTerrorists movement! This should really bolster DemoRATs chances for success in the 2018 midterms! Can you say GOP SUPERMAJORITY! #MAGA

OMG! Keith Ellison is, at best, semi-literate. Also, is he endorsing antifa?
— Tom Mize (@Dr_Hoggie) January 3, 2018
Why there isn’t more outrage about a member of the US Congress holding and promoting violent propaganda from a domestic terrorist group is baffling. What would happen if a white member of Congress, today, was seen holding and promoting a Ku Klux Klan propaganda??? What then??

@fbi @secretservice and every MSM organization should be reporting on this crap. Perhaps the Secret Service should have a conversation Ellison at GITMO about his real intentions. Something tells me they’re NOT honorable.

So you support fascism? Because antifa is nothing more than fascism disguised as anti-fascism. Why don’t you just say you hate the Constitution and individual civil liberties such as “dissenting” free speech? You might as well be dressed in an SS uniform.

I would call Keith Ellison out for endorsing the fascist Antifa group, but the congressman doesn’t like me very much… pic.twitter.com/Teikt50GGu

Unreal..this antisemitic piece of filth also endorses a terrorist group.. pic.twitter.com/oWdewBtPlN

Keith Ellison is such a disgrace and utter embarrassment to my state. I dream of a day where Minnesota is rid of do nothing bureaucrats and sick, manipulative marxists. I wish Ellison would go the way of Al Franken; & by that I mean GONE.
Hey, a boy can dream, right?#MAGA??— Daniel Patrick Adsit (@D_Adsit) January 4, 2018
He blocked me for pointing out his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood…?
