F. Lee Bailey, part of the “Dream Team” of attorneys who represented convicted felon OJ Simpson during his double murder trial, is still milking the grisly deaths of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman some 23 years later.
Bailey and Pat McKenna, an investigator who worked for the defense during the “trial of the century” have revealed plans for a book they say will put to rest the widely held belief that the former professional football player got away with murder.
At 84 years of age, perhaps the lawyer is trying to appease his conscience while there is still time.
“We’re not writing this to make a fortune,” Bailey told the Palm Beach Post. “We’re writing this to ram it down the public’s throat until they understand what happened.”
Never mind that Bailey, who was stripped of his law license stripped in 2001, recently filed for bankruptcy, according to the newspaper — he was found guilty by the Florida Supreme Court of using a client’s money for his own purposes and lying under oath.
With Simpson being released in October after serving nine years in prison for armed robbery, Bailey is looking to help rehabilitate Simpson’s image and paint himself as a victim, because of his efforts to get Simpson off on murder charges.
Bailey reportedly had dinner with Simpson in Las Vegas shortly after his release from prison.
“Never in my life have I been punished more for getting an acquittal,” Bailey said in a recent podcast., according to The Post.
And Bailey realizes with millennials, he has a whole new audience to sell his wares — including the notion that OJ Simpson was set up.
“My generation has their minds closed,” he said. “If Jesus came down and said, ‘O.J. is coming to my place because he didn’t do it,’ they’d probably throw him out.”
The millennial generation didn’t see the evidence presented during the nonstop trial coverage.

So, with a straight face, Bailey looks to convince the younger generation that Nicole Simpson was mistakenly killed by “Colombian or Cuban assassins” who were hired to kill a friend of Nicole’s for unpaid drug debts, according to The Post.
