Donald Trump’s war on political correctness has extended to eliminating words and phrases used in official documents at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the left is losing its collective mind.
Seven words and phrases, including “diversity,” “entitlement,” “vulnerable,” “transgender,” “evidence-based,” “fetus,” and “science-based,” have reportedly been banned from official CDC documents.

And the Trump administration isn’t messing around. According to the CDC’s Alison Kelly’s statements to the Washington Post, any budget proposal-related documents sent to the Office of Management and Budget that contain those words have been sent back for “correction.”
Citing attendees, the Post reported that agency policy analysts were specifically given those instructions during a Thursday meeting.
The instructions even included alternative phrases in some instances. For example, “evidence-based” or “science-based” can be replaced with “CDC bases its recommendations on science in consideration with community standards and wishes.”
Trump’s war on political correctness has extended far beyond mere rhetoric. Early on, it eliminated the term LGBTQ from the Health and Human Services website and dropped it as a potential US Census Bureau category for the 2020 census. Additionally, any mention of climate change has been removed from the Environmental Protection Agency’s website.
The left, of course, is less than happy about their preferred censorship method being, well, “censored.”
Many CDC employees reportedly aren’t happy about the changes. The Post reported their source described reaction from meeting attendees as “incredulous.”
“It was very much, ‘Are you serious? Are you kidding?’” the analyst said.
Here are a few Twitter over-reactions to the Trump administration move.

Trump officials are forbidding the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from using 7 words in official docs being prepared for next year’s budget: “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based,” “science-based.”https://t.co/ErWJYHUvZg

The Trump administration is preventing the use of the word transgender by the CDC. How much erasure do we tolerate? At what point does the left decide that this is enough? Cause I’m afraid.

**THIS** is one of the scariest thing the trump administration has done so far, imo. The CDC is no longer able to use the words “evidence based” among others. #NotNormal #WarOnFacts https://t.co/0VQPJMRq6H

Ironically, especially considering that the arbiters of political-correctness are the most Orwellian proponents alive today, some called the move just that.
This is Orwellian: Trump admin gives CDC, the nation’s top public health agency, a list of words/phrases it is prohibited from using. Words/phrases are: “vulnerable,” “entitlement,” “diversity,” “transgender,” “fetus,” “evidence-based” & “science-based”
