Sheila Jackson Lee hijacked hearing about Mueller’s sham. What she did with it will make your blood boil

Democrats can’t seem to stay on topic in congressional hearings.

During deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s appearance at the House Judiciary Committee hearing, Democratic  Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee used part of her allotted five minutes of questioning to go off on a rant about sexual harassment claims.

“What intentions does the Department of Justice have to allow these women, who are accusing the president of sexual misconduct and have never been heard in terms of a public setting,” the Texas lawmaker asked. “What does the Department of Justice intend to do?”

Rosenstein, who appointed Special Counsel Robert Mueller and has overseen the Russia investigation after Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself, was probably not expecting to explain the operations of the Justice Department to Lee.

“If they file a lawsuit, they’re free to do so, it wouldn’t be a Department matter” he responded.

“Would you not believe it’s important to give these women a forum to be heard?” Lee asked, apparently not satisfied with Rosenstein’s answer.

“If there’s anything that warrants federal investigation, congresswoman,  then we would certainly look at it,” he replied.

Lee then asked if she could refer the women to the Department of Justice.

“If somebody wants to file a complaint of a potential federal crime, yes, they can report that to the FBI or they can write,” Rosenstein said. “Anybody can do that at any time.”

Lee addressed the women who have made the sexual harassment allegations against President Trump, directing them to go the Justice Department and file a complaint.

Seems Democrats thought the focus of the hearing was to attack the president as outgoing Democrat congressman Luis Gutierrez unloaded about allegations of sexual misconduct against Trump as well during his time to question Rosenstein.

Meanwhile,  Jackson Lee made headlines on Wednesday when she congratulated “Doug Moore” for winning Alabama’s special election, a race  in which Democrat Doug Jones defeated Republican Roy Moore.

Back in September, the Texas Democrat took her anti-Trump sentiments to the House floor by taking a knee in solidarity with NFL players and to protest the president’s call to team owners to fire players who disrespect the flag by not standing during the national anthem.
