Trump hosts White House Hanukkah Party… adds a twist that has Dems seeing red

It’s that time of year again… the time where folks come together for the holidays in good cheer and togetherness. Unless, you happen to be in Washington D.C.

President Trump hosted his first White House Hanukkah party,  but in his signature style he also added a twist – no Democrats allowed.

Congressional Dems and Jewish leaders who’ve been critical of Trump found themselves on the President’s naughty list and didn’t recieve invitations, the Hill reported.

Trump’s historic decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital was a topic of discussion at the event that was held on Thursday.

“Hanukkah is a time for Jewish families around the world to celebrate the miracles of the past and the promises of the future,” Trump said. “We are proud to stand with the people of Israel and renew our enduring bond.”

“And right now I’m thinking about what’s going on and the love that’s all over Israel and all about Jerusalem.”

Jewish Republican Reps Lee Zeldin (N.Y.) and David Kustoff (Tenn.) were notably in attendance to hear Trump speak on Thursday, the Hill reported.

Liberals made much ado about the absence of Jewish Democrats at the Hanukkah party.

“It’s deeply unfortunate that the White House Hanukkah Party — a bipartisan event bringing together Jewish and non-Jewish leaders alike to celebrate the Festival of Lights since 2001 — has turned into a partisan affair under this administration,” Rep. Nita Lowrey (D-N.Y.) told the New York Times in a statement.

And Trump was roundly blasted on social media for the controversial move:

Liberal actress Patricia Arquette was fuming (as usual):

But they didn’t boycott. In fact, Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America was in attendance and praised Trump for his monumental Jerusalem decision.

“People are in a celebratory mood and just kvelling over this incredible, historic moment,” Klein told the Times. “He did not invite people who have been hostile to him.”

The Trump administration has been living under a microscope due to what a growing number of people believe is a rigged special counsel investigation to take down the president.

Trump was also excoriated across the board as far as Dems and most of the mainstream media was concerned for declaring the “reality” that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

Perhaps, the President just wanted to relax a little and enjoy a celebration for doing what he believes was the right thing to do.
