NFL throws up white flag: $89 million deal will benefit Soros-backed leftist groups

When faced with a choice between its most vocal ‘take-a-knee’ protesters and the majority of the fans whose viewership and spending actually make those multi-million dollar salaries possible, the NFL has officially made a hard-Left.

And by hard-Left, I mean an unholy alliance with the Lucifer of Leftism, George Soros himself.

That’s right, that $89 million the NFL recently pledged to so-called “social justice causes” over the next seven years will actually go to several organizations connected to the billionaire liberal activist, including the Center for American Progress, Campaign for Fair Sentencing, and Dream Corps, among others.

The Washington Times calls Dreams Corps “…a leftist advocacy group led by former Obama adviser Van Jones and linked to Mr. Soros, which has called for saving the Clean Power Plan, cutting the prison population by half and providing ‘sanctuary for all.'”

According to the Times: “The $89 million, seven-year deal also carves out millions of dollars for the Players Coalition, according to ESPN, which has been advised by Soros-funded groups such as the Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress, a leader of the anti-Trump ‘resistance.'”

NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart is trying to downplay initial reports by stressing that the decisions are not final, saying in an email, “No decisions have been made on where the money will go yet, much less all the money over the next 7 years. Those decisions will be made by the working group that has not been formed yet.”

However, considering that the NFL player’s union has already publicly partnered with the Soros-linked group Center for Community Change Action, a leftist group that finances anti-Trump protests, the prognosis seems pretty grim.

According to the Washington Times:

…the ACLU, Campaign for Fair Sentencing of Youth and the Center for American Progress — have received funding from Mr. Soros’ Open Society Foundations.

Mr. Soros’ fingerprints can also be found on the Dream Corps, which merged in 2014 with Green for All, an environmental group founded by Mr. Jones in 2007 whose funders included Open Society as well as former Vice President Al Gore’s Alliance for Climate Protection, according to Discover the Networks.

Mr. Jones resigned as President Obama’s “green jobs czar” in 2009 amid reports of his earlier Marxist activism, including his oft-quoted declaration that he became a communist after the 1992 acquittal of Los Angeles police officers who beat up Rodney King.

Additionally, the agreement reportedly doesn’t even include a provision that the attendance-killing ‘take-a-knee’ protests come to a merciful end. Instead, the money will simply be taken from existing NFL sponsored causes such as Salute to Service and breast cancer awareness.

Needless to say, the Twitter reaction from conservatives was less than positive, to say the least.
