Matt Lauer can’t stop telling Sandra Bullock he’s ‘seen her naked’ in cringeworthy interview

Eyes up here, Matt!

A newly resurfaced video shows the cringeworthy interview actress Sandra Bullock endured in 2009 as Matt Lauer repeatedly talked about her naked body.

The former “Today” show co-anchor joked one too many times about Bullock’s nude scene in her film “The Proposal,” which she was promoting in her appearance on the “Today” show.

“The major thing that’s changed since I’ve seen you last: I have seen you naked,” Lauer began.

“And I’m so sorry about that. Were you able to sleep afterwards?” Bullock laughed, then asked him “why are you looking down” when his gaze shifted.

In the wake of Lauer’s firing by NBC this week due to allegations of sexual misconduct and assult, his reply to Bullock about making her nude image his computer’s screensaver appears even more telling — and disturbing.

“You’re naked for most of this movie!” he declared in the interview.

“No I’m not! I’m emotionally naked most of this movie,” Bullock countered, laughing but still trying to set the record straight, apparently trying to move on from the subject as well.

Lauer continued peppering the actress with nude-scene questions, clarifying that she used a loofah – not a washcloth as he originally thought – to cover up in the scene. He even asked her about the difficulty in doing the scene but Bullock shrugged it off, explaining that she was acting.

Even after moving on to other aspects of the film, Lauer found a way to return to his apparently favorite topic.

“Did I mention you have a nude scene in this movie?” he asked as the interview came to a close.

“Pretty much from the time you opened your mouth,” Bullock quipped.

Lauer’s invitation to Bullock to return again to the morning show was met with a quick response.

“No, not after this interview, no,” she responded as Lauer and the crew laughed.

The video is the latest to emerge exposing past on-air behavior by the former “Today” show host. A 2006 clip featured a moment when Lauer was heard on camera whispering inappropriate comments to then co-anchor Meredith Vieira.

Lauer finally responded to NBC’s decision to terminate him due to “inappropriate sexual behavior in the workplace” following the “detailed complaint from a colleague.” He issued a statement Thursday, read by his former colleagues on the “Today” show which he co-hosted since 1994.

“There are no words to express my sorrow and regret for the pain I have caused others by words and actions. To the people I have hurt I am truly sorry,” Lauer said.

But he is reportedly planning to pursue a $30 million payout from the network for his contract which was set to expire in 2018.
