In her eagerness to get in on the newest social media hashtag activist campaign, Alyssa Milano made herself look like a fool, again.
On Thursday, she tweeted a quote from Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai about the need for women to be heard.
“‘I raise my voice – not so I can shout, but so those without a voice can be heard. We cannot succeed when half of us are held back.’~Malala,” she tweeted.

A nice quote. But quickly after that, she tweeted that she would be silent on Friday for women’s rights.
“Tomorrow (Friday the 13th) will be the first day in over 10 years that I won’t tweet. Join me. #WomenBoycottTwitter,” she wrote.

Because the greatest way to “be heard” is to silence yourself.
Many on social media commented on the irony, not only for Milano but for the whole strange campaign.
“For the women who have been silenced” and you’re gonna help that by continuing to be silent???

I understand #WomenBoycottTwitter is well meaning, but I won’t be participating. The woman it’s meant to support said “BE MY VOICE” herself.

Take your time. Maybe take a month or two off. Or more.

Considering how often she tweets, a day is going to be tough for her.
I wish fake feminists and liberals would boycott it all together. BYE. Won’t miss you & your racist, divisive comments! #WomenBoycottTwitter
