Megyn Kelly‘s career at NBC is apparently over before it even started.
Kelly’s morning show was bumped Monday as NBC raced to compete with its TV rivals to cover the Las Vegas shooting that left 59 dead.
While it’s normal for a network to pre-empt regular programming when there’s breaking news, it’s odd that Megyn was left out of NBC’s coverage of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.
While Kelly recently insisted that she no longer wants to cover politics, she’s a self-proclaimed “hard-news journalist.” The Las Vegas shooting is a “hard-news” story.
“It’s baffling why they didn’t have Kelly participate in the coverage,” one network veteran told the New York Post. “They seem confused.”
In response to this apparent slap in the face, “Megyn Kelly Today” held a panel discussion on the shooting this morning.
Meanwhile, Kelly’s show is floundering after being panned by critics and fans alike. In addition to dismal ratings in its first week, the show was slammed for its bizarre, awkward moments where even its guests trashed the show.

Last week, actress “Hanoi” Jane Fonda shut Megyn down before a live audience when Kelly brought up plastic surgery while Fonda was trying to promote her new movie.
Jane shot a disgusted look at Megyn before retorting: “We really want to talk about that now?”
Fonda later said that while she has been very open about her plastic surgeries, Megyn’s question was totally inappropriate in that context. “It seemed like the wrong time and place to ask that question,” she told ET Canada.
The day before, Kelly was blasted by “Will & Grace” star Debra Messing, who said she regretted going on the show after Megyn cracked a dumb gay joke. “Regret going on. Dismayed by her comments,” Messing wrote on Instagram.
Kelly is quickly learning that just because you pander to liberals by trashing President Trump doesn’t mean they’ll embrace you and support your projects. Why? Because the left are ingrates.

So now, the clock has started to see how long it takes for NBC to realize it made a yuge mistake by betting on Megyn. You can be sure that it’s only a matter of time before the network throws her out like yesterday’s trash.
