Angel Perez — the mayor of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico — said the Trump administration has been fantastic in providing hurricane-relief aid.
Perez said San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz could better serve her city if she actually did her job by attending FEMA meetings.
The race-baiting Cruz, a Democrat, has repeatedly accused President Trump of abandoning Puerto Rico to promote “genocide.”

Reporter and attorney Geraldo Rivera, who’s Puerto Rican, is on the ground in San Juan. This is how he responded to the clueless Cruz:
“San Juan Mayor says residents are ‘dying,’ and somehow Donald Trump is to blame,” Geraldo tweeted. “I’m here. Who is dying? Where? Let me help save them.”

Guaynabo Mayor Angel Perez: Carmen Yulin Cruz Is Lying
Guaynabo’s Mayor Angel Perez said he has no idea what the hell Cruz is talking about since his city has been receiving aid.
The reason why they are getting help is because Perez has kept on top of relief efforts by attending meetings with officials from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and other federal agencies.
“I don’t know why she is saying that,” Perez told the Daily Caller. “She is not participating in any meetings. We had a couple already with the governors and with representation of FEMA and of HUD, these whole federal agencies that have given us help. We are receiving assistance from FEMA. I got people over here helping us with applications for the people that have damage in their houses.”
Governor of Puerto Rico Praised Trump
Mayor Perez echoed the sentiments of Richard Rossello, the governor of Puerto Rico, who praised President Trump for his rapid response to Puerto Rico’s aid requests.

San Juan ‘s mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz has been all over CNN and MSNBC bashing Trump but doesn’t bother to attend critical meetings to help residents get the aid they desperately need.
As BizPac Review has reported, there are over 10,000 containers packed with food, water and medical supplies sitting idly in San Juan Port because Puerto Rico does not have enough truck drivers to transport the goods across the island.
How exactly is that President Trump’s fault?

Here’s Mayor Cruz whining on TV that Trump has sent no aid to Puerto Rico while standing in front of stacks of water and food right behind her.

Maybe if San Juan’s grandstanding mayor actually did her job instead of showboating all over CNN and MSNBC to attack Trump, she could help the ravaged island.
FEMA administrator Brock Long told CNN it would be nice if Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz bothered to show up at FEMA offices and got clued in.
“What we need is for the mayor to make her way to the joint field office and get plugged into what’s going on,” Long said.

Similarly, Senator Marco Rubio has confirmed that the problem with disbursing aid is ON THE GROUND IN PUERTO RICO.
Some of criticism of #PuertoRicoRelief missing main problem. @FEMA has sent lots of aid problem is distribution once it gets to #PuertoRico

Many on Twitter trashed San Juan’s “incompetent, lazy, race-baiting mayor.” She is the reason Puerto Rico is not getting the help they need.

Instead of attending FEMA meetings, Mayor Cruz gleefully panders to the anti-Trump liberal media.
