‘Get out Comey, you’re not our homey!’ Former FBI chief didn’t get the college reception he probably hoped for

James Comey came back to the public eye on Friday and he was not exactly welcomed.

The former FBI director spoke at the historically black Howard University on Friday and  was met with throngs of loud protesters who were not exactly excited to see him.

Raising their fists in a “black power” salute, the protesters shouted “white supremacy is not a debate,” “No justice, no peace” and “We shall not be moved,” among other slogans.

Comey continued to speak despite the protesters singing other slogans like “Get out James Comey — you’re not our homey” and “I love being black. I love the color of my skin.”

“I love the enthusiasm of young folks, but I wish they understood what a conversation is,” he said.

“The rest of the real world is a place where it’s hard sometimes to find people who will listen with an attitude that they might actually be convinced of something,” he said.

“Instead, what happens in most of the real world – and about four rows in this auditorium – is that people don’t listen at all. They just try to figure out what rebuttal they’re going to offer when you’re done speaking,” Comey added.

He went on to praise Howard University as a “safe space especially for those who face the opportunity and the challenge of being black in America.”

Way to kiss butt, Comey. Too bad for you, the crowd wasn’t having it.
