Omarosa Manigault laughed off rumors that Gen. John Kelly is trying to push her out at the White House.
President Trump’s communications director for the Office of Public Liaison was asked by TMZ if there was any truth behind reports that she was being blocked from the president’s inner circle by the new Chief of Staff.
Manigault laughed at the question as she walked through Washington, D.C.’s Ronald Reagan airport, saying it was the “same story” as when former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus was in charge.
“I have known him for 14 years and I expect to know him for many, many more,” the former “Celebrity Apprentice” star said of her friendship with Trump.
“I always have his back,” she added. “He values loyalty.”
Manigault has been a loyal and outspoken supporter of Trump since the election campaign, serving as director of African-American outreach and then landing a position as an adviser to the president. The often controversial 43 year-old was apparently targeted by Kelly in his effort to control who is influencing Trump, the Daily Beast reported.

“When Gen. Kelly is talking about clamping down on access to the Oval, she’s patient zero,” a source close to the Trump administration told the Daily Beast.
Manigault’s fierce loyalty to Trump has sometimes landed her in confrontations with people like when she told White House reporter April Ryan that the Trump White House had “dossiers” on her. She was in a heated exchange recently with BET host Ed Gordon at the National Association of Black Journalists conference in New Orleans, after he attacked her on stage during a panel discussion.
