The left is going to be hard-pressed to find something wrong with President Donald Trump’s choice for U.S. ambassador to Germany.
…though the selection does have a small chink in his armor.
Ric Grenell, 50, has been tapped by the White House for the diplomatic post and, if confirmed by the U.S. Senate, would be the first openly gay appointee in the Trump administration.

Haters on the left eager to pounce on the selection still have something to cling to — other than Grenell being an avid Trump supporter.
Not only did Grenell serve for eight years under George W. Bush as U.S. spokesman at the United Nations, he was a Fox News contributor!

But he is a member of the LGBT community.
Grenell, founder of Capitol Media Partners, an international communications firm, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in 2013 and underwent chemotherapy.

After a few months, Grenell’s cancer was in remission and a result of his experience, he developed chemoWave, an app that monitors patients’ reactions to chemotherapy.
Grenell is expected to take his post by year’s end, if his nomination is approved by the Senate.
