Speaking of monuments, VP Pence all but puts Trump on Mount Rushmore

With all the commotion over people suddenly being mad at Confederate statues, Vice President Mike Pence’s visit last week to the Panama Canal flew under the radar.

…which is somewhat surprising, given that he all but placed President Donald Trump on Mount Rushmore.

In a speech Thursday, Pence compared the president to Teddy Roosevelt, pointing to a shared “can-do spirit.”

“In President Donald Trump, I think the United States once again has a President whose vision, energy, and can-do spirit is reminiscent of President Teddy Roosevelt,” the vice president said.

“Think about it. Then, as now, we have a builder of boundless optimism, who seeks to usher in a new era of shared prosperity all across this new world,” Pence said. “Then, as now, we have a leader who sees things not just as they are, but for what they could be.  And then, as now, we have a President who understands, in his words, ‘A nation is only living as long as it is striving.’

With every spoken word, the image of Trump’s face perched right up there alongside Roosevelt becomes a little more clear… as does the sound of heads exploding on the left!

“And just as President Roosevelt exhorted his fellow Americans to ‘dare to be great,’ President Donald Trump has dared our nation to make America great again, and we’ll do it with all of our friends in the world,” Pence continued.

Of course, leave it to Time to note that Roosevelt allegedly called whites “the forward race” and minorities “the backward race” — of which, indicates there may soon be an open space on Mount Rushmore, given today’s politically correct culture.
