The frustration of being at the epicenter of racial and political discord seems to be taking its toll on police officers in Charlottesville.
An officer clearly fed up with the extremism on display in his city by left-wing protesters accused a woman of wanting to stir up more violence in the aftermath of last weekend, which cost a woman, Heather Heyer, her life after being hit by a car driven into a crowd.
It all began when a young man made the ill-advised decision to pay homage to the Robert E. Lee statue on Tuesday in what is now Emancipation Park.
Wearing a Civil War era kepi cap with a rifle slung over his shoulder, the man also carried a Confederate battle flag. He stood silent, saluting the statue as a group of protesters raged at him.
Inches from his face, they screamed and flipped him the middle finger.
“Terrorist go home!” the crowd chanted, among other things.
“You have a home to go to,” one woman says. “There are people who are dead and injured and stuck in the f**king hospital and yet you are here doing this when you could just stand up. Get the f**k out of here!”
Eventually the police speak with the Johnny Reb wannabe and he leaves with them.

“I wanted to honor my ancestors in history,” the man said as he was led away. “They need to know that what they fought for wasn’t slavery or oppression.”
As he is getting into a police vehicle, a protester seemingly disappointed that the crowd didn’t have the opportunity to turn loose on him taunted the man.
“Can’t walk out the park by yourself, huh?” the woman filming with her smart phone said — just moments before she was flipping her middle fingers in his face. “So proud and brave.”
Giving her a look of disgust, an officer said, “You want another day like Saturday, don’t you? You should be ashamed of yourself.”
But liberals have no shame, and the woman was quick to show that the fatality over the weekend meant little to her.
“That blood is on your hands, not mine,” she replied, flippantly.
