It seems like the Associated Press isn’t even trying to hide its bias anymore.
The worldwide news service was once considered go-to for reliable, straightforward reporting of the facts.
Those were the days.
On Monday, the AP released a story headlined, “How to know if your child is transgender.”

“How can a parent know if their child is transgender? What separates a young boy who might be transgender from one with a vivid imagination who likes to dress up in his sister’s dresses? What do you do if your daughter tells you she’s a boy?” the story asked.
Not to worry, the AP helpfully “spoke to gender experts” to assist parents who are battling with these burning questions.

Parents were advised to “get away somewhere with their child and allow the child to call the shots in terms of their gender, such as letting them use a different pronoun or wear a dress or other clothing of their choice,” according to Johanna Olson-Kennedy, medical director of The Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
“Do it somewhere where you’re not going to see people you know, if that’s an issue for you,” the so-called expert said. “Do a weekend as a different gender, and see what you learn.”

The AP’s panel of experts addressed “parents’ most commonly asked questions” like if a son’s desire to wear dresses is a phase “or something more” and gauging whether a child is in distress over clothing choices.

The “tips” from the AP were a companion piece to a story about a “Rainbow Day Camp” in San Francisco for kids as young as four.
Never mind that the American College of Pediatricians last year condemned gender reclassification in children, stating that transgenderism in children is a form of child abuse.
