Having had more than her share of controversy, former Fox News Channel contributor Michelle Fields was quick to respond to rumors that she was one of the complainants alleging that Eric Bolling sent lewd text messages to co-workers.
Fox News announced on Saturday that Bolling was suspended and an investigation is pending “following allegations of inappropriate behavior.”
The move comes after the Huffington Post reported Friday on allegations that Bolling texted unsolicited photos of male genitalia to two colleagues at Fox Business Network and one colleague at Fox News.
Fields entered the fray Saturday, responding to a tweet that named her as an accuser.
She said in a post: “False. Im not one of the women in @yashar‘s story & Eric Bolling was nothing but professional when I worked w/ him. Pls stop spreading lies.”

There were others blatantly stating that Fields was “behind” the allegations leveled against Bolling:

Fields name was dragged into the incident in a New York Daily News article that said the Fox News host “once asked contributors Michelle Fields and Katie Pavlich to rank Democratic political perverts as though sexual perversion against women was all fun and games.”
But even AFTER she publicly denied she was an accuser, the rumor flourished online.
As for Bolling, he has plenty of defenders who say this is but a ploy by the left to shut down conservative, pro-Trump voices. Even Fields’ tweet was supportive of his character.
An added motivation, should that be true, is that Bolling, whose name was floated by the Trump transition team as a possibility for Commerce Secretary, has said the “next step” for him may be “running for Senate.”
