Couple jumps to their deaths in NYC street, suicide note alleges unaffordable health care as factor

Hours after the senate voted to keep Obamacare, a New York couple jumped to their deaths in a double suicide.

A note found on the deceased man reportedly cited rising healthcare costs as a factor in the couple’s decision to end their lives.

The bodies a 50-year-old woman and 53-year-old man, were found in the middle of 33rd street each with a suicide note after leaping from the 9th floor of a Manhattan office building, the New York Post reported.

“In sum and substance, ‘Our kids are upstairs, please take care of them,’” the note in the woman’s pocket read, according to a law enforcement source that spoke with the Post.  Another note found on the man eerily claimed, “WE HAD A WONDERFUL LIFE.”

“Patricia and I had everything in life,” the note read before claiming the two were in a “financial spiral” and “can not live with” the “financial reality.”

The couple apparently cited mounting medical bills as a factor in their financial strife.  “’We both have medical issues, we just can’t afford the health care,'” a line in the note read, according to the Post’s source.

A passerby was the first to discover the bodies.

“When I got here at 6:05 a.m., I walked by dead bodies on the ground,” a witness named Kazi told The Post. “I was scared. I’ve never seen dead bodies before.”

Social media was quick to blame Obamacare and the Senate that had just voted to keep it with John McCain casting the deciding vote in the Dems favor.
