Nicholas Cage won the internet without even breaking a sweat.
A photo of the Academy Award-winning actor during a trip to Kazakhstan went viral, spawning countless memes and photo captions.
The 53 year-old star of films like “National Treasure,” “Ghost Rider” and “Face/Off,” was photographed wearing a tradition Kazakh coat and hat at the opening of the 13th annual Eurasia International Film Festival in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan.

While some reports noted the actor was standing beside the country’s First Lady Sara Nazarbayeva, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the woman is in fact a violinist, the head of Astana’s Music Academy and the festival president, Aiman Mussakhajaeva.

“I would be pleased to participate in some film project on the territory of Kazakhstan,” Cage reportedly told hosts of the film festival, according to news agency Kazinform. He also seemed impressed with the appearance of the capital city.
“I enjoyed the architecture of your capital, it looks great. What I saw reminded me of an old black-and-white film that depicted the future,” he said.

Cage also helped plant some trees with Astana’s mayor at a center for disabled children, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
But the photo of the actor with the far-off look in his eyes brought the house down as it spawned hilarious reactions on social media and solidified Cage’s place in the meme hall of fame.
