Anti-Trump bigotry is alive and well, even among D-list “celebrities” who can’t afford to alienate any fan base.
Reality TV star and tattoo artist Kat Von D disqualified the winner of a national art contest she sponsored after learning the winner was a Donald Trump supporter.
Kansas makeup artist Gypsy Freeman was thrilled when she won an Instagram art contest that Von D had sponsored to promote her new makeup line. The prize package included a $500 gift card to Sephora and a trip to Los Angeles to attend the launch of the Kat Von D Beauty line.
Freeman won after submitting an Instagram photo of an angelic woman in white juxtaposed alongside a girl in a black dress.

Hours after winning the contest, Freeman was stunned when she received several direct messages from Von D’s personal Instagram account informing her that she was no longer invited to the L.A. launch party.
“My launch party [and my brand] celebrates many things that Trump is against,” Von D said in screenshots captured by the Kansas City Star.
“And I just need you to know that I personally have a hard time with inviting anyone who would support such an anti-feminist, anti-homosexual/LGBT, anti-immigrant, and anti-climate change fascist such as Trump.”
Von D continued: “It’s just extremely difficult (borderline impossible) for me to be friends with or associate with anyone who would support a man who goes against everything I stand for. I would feel the same way towards people who supported Hitler, or any other fascist.”

Freeman was identified as a Trump supporter from a 2016 Instagram post that touted the president’s “Make America Great Again” slogan.
Gypsy said she was disappointed about her disqualification and called it “bigotry.” She was also disgusted that politics had infected an art contest. The contest did not state that only liberals could participate; it was open to all.

“It’s definitely bigotry,” she told the Kansas City Star. “Everything that they’re calling us, they’re doing. It’s a huge case of hypocrisy.”
Freeman used to buy Kat Von D’s makeup kit for years, but she won’t support her any longer. Gypsy also plans to contact Sephora to alert them to Von D’s discrimination.
While Von D has trashed President Trump and his supporters as Nazi fascists, she’s the one who posed in a Nazi stripper outfit in 2010, complete with swasika and a Third Reich hat.

Ironically, Freeman’s disqualification as the rightful winner of Kat Von D’s contest has brought her more global media attention than if she had not been discriminated against.
This lame stunt shows Von D is a total failure at marketing, public relations, and customer service.
Many on social media sided with Gypsy Freeman and called for a boycott of Kat Von D products.

Agree, I like her makeup, but now I just can’t buy it. She should have had it in terms of contest, no trump supporters,at least honest bigot
