Add Johnny Depp to the growing list of unhinged Hollywood moonbats calling for the assassination of President Donald Trump in the name of “tolerant liberalism.”
Depp, 54, is being widely slammed for an apparent drunken rant where he said “maybe it is time” for an actor to assassinate the president since “it has been a while.”
The last time that happened was 1865, when John Wilkes Booth murdered Abraham Lincoln in a theater.
While speaking at the Glastonbury Festival in England on Thursday, Depp said:
When was the last time an actor assassinated a president? I want to clarify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living. However, it has been a while. And maybe it is time.

The crowd reacted with a mixture of applause and boos. The assassination “joke” fell flat since it was just last week that Congressman Steve Scalise was shot by a leftist gunman who wanted to assassinate Republican lawmakers.
While Depp apologists defended the actor by claiming he was joking, his statement that “maybe it is time” had many questioning his motives and his sanity.
Besides, Johnny Depp should never joke about killing someone given his well-documented history of alleged violence, alcoholism and drug abuse. In May 2016, Depp’s ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, accused him of beating her during a fight at their Los Angeles apartment.
Heard was granted a restraining order and later filed for divorce. The divorce has since been settled, but the incident will remain a permanent stain on the reputation of an actor who was once widely loved and respected.
This week, new court documents revealed that Depp’s management team knew he was “extremely volatile” and had “sometimes ‘gotten physical'” with Heard, but they covered it up to protect his career (and no doubt, their fat commissions).
In 1994, Depp was arrested for allegedly trashing a hotel room in a drug-addled fit of rage. In numerous interviews, Depp has admitted he’s an alcoholic who has repeatedly abused drugs throughout his life.
Meanwhile, Twitter slammed Depp for his assassination “joke,” saying he should be investigated by the Secret Service for making a threat against President Trump and for inciting violence.
While #SteveScalise is in critical condition, you "joke" about assassination of the President of the United States? https://t.co/2iKGkTOSZF

Johnny Depp is a worthless drug addict/alcoholic/wife-beater who has gone thru his millions & would be bankruot without the "Pirates" flix.

Update 1: The White House issued a strong statement condemning Depp’s disgusting theatrics.
President Trump has condemned violence in all forms and it’s sad that others like Johnny Depp have not followed his lead. I hope that some of Mr. Depp’s colleagues will speak out against this type of rhetoric as strongly as they would if his comments were directed to a Democrat elected official.
Update 2: Johnny Depp issued a statement Friday apologizing for his assassination “joke.”
I apologize for the bad joke I attempted last night in poor taste about President Trump. It did not come out as intended, and I intended no malice. I was only trying to amuse, not to harm anyone.
