Republican Congressman Steve Scalise deserved to get shot by an unhinged leftist gunman because liberals disapprove of his voting record.
That’s what MSNBC hack Joy Reid seemed to suggest when she trashed Scalise for supporting gun rights, not supporting gay marriage, and for voting to repeal the dumpster fire known as Obamacare. All while he fights for his life.
It’s a low blow even for the leftist propaganda shill, who obviously doesn’t care that Scalise was not around to defend his voting record or his reputation.
Scalise remains hospitalized in serious condition after being shot on June 14 by former Bernie Sanders volunteer James Hodgkinson, who tried to assassinate Republicans lawmakers at a baseball practice.
Reid teased her segment by resorting to her usual race-baiting, tweeting: “Rep. Scalise was shot by a white man with a violent background, and saved by a black lesbian police officer.”
Joy blithely left out that Scalise was saved by a black woman WITH A GUN from an unhinged leftist terrorist who was a devoted MSNBC fan.

Reid then joined her guest, NAACP board member Rev. William J. Barber II, in attacking Scalise, who is lying in a hospital bed.
Reid implied that Scalise was a racist by repeating a debunked claim that Scalise had spoken at an event 15 years ago for a group founded by former KKK leader David Duke.

“It’s a delicate thing because everybody is wishing the congressman well and hoping that he recovers, but Steve Scalise has a history that we’ve all been forced to sort of ignore on race,” Reid claimed. “He did come to leadership after some controversy over attending a white nationalist event, which he says he didn’t know it was.”
That report has since been discredited. Even Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond, who’s black, has said: “I don’t think Steve Scalise has a racist bone in his body.”
Joy Reid also slammed Scalise for his stance on gay marriage, Obamacare and guns, suggesting he deserved to get shot for his views:
He also co-sponsored a bill to amend the Constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman. He co-sponsored the House healthcare bill … and he co-sponsored a bill to repeal the ban on semiautomatic weapons. Because he is in jeopardy and everybody is pulling for him, are we required in a moral sense to put that aside in the moment?
Moonbat actor George Takei — whose claim to fame is that he starred on a TV show in the 1960s — also kicked Scalise while he’s down, gloating: “The officer who saved bigoted, homophobic Rep. Steve Scalise during baseball practice was a black lesbian.”
The universe doesn't joke around. The officer who saved bigoted, homophobic Rep. Steve Scalise during baseball practice was a black lesbian.

Not surprisingly, Twitter clapped back at Takei’s tone-deaf remarks.

Even MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough trashed Takei’s insensitive comments.
He’s fighting for his life right now. What is wrong with you? Until he’s out of ICU, why don’t you take it up with the Pope. https://t.co/UzmTbjn87N

Well…. he’s kinda fighting for his life currently. Bet he’s not giving a shit about whether his website hurts your feelings right now.

Meanwhile, Joy Reid was widely slammed on all sides, with her MSNBC colleague Joe Scarborough condemning her inappropriate attacks.
If you are attacking Steve Scalise's voting record right now, do yourself a favor and just stop now. I can't even believe what I'm seeing.

He was shot by an MSNBC fan and saved by a woman who the Scalises consider family. This is despicable. https://t.co/prYt86VS1q

"Violence is bad, but look at how he voted!! He deserved to get shot!"
Real nice, psycho. https://t.co/At2kSBlBdP— Damon Parker (@DamonParker1) June 17, 2017
Fox News host Meghan McCain also smacked down Joy’s reckess, violent rhetoric.
As the daughter of a politician – I cant tell you how reckless I think this is. What does his voting record have to do with him being shot? https://t.co/diiAgvpJ0u

Funny, I don't recall the "Well actually" takes about Gabby Giffords' public policy preferences when she was still in the ICU.
